How to travel the world with almost no money

Spread the love

Five years ago, a 30 years old travel writer from Croatia named Tomislav Perko dreamed to travel around the world. He took up this challenge and took the road with almost no money.  He had worked before as stockbroker, but during the financial crisis he lost his job, his money and the meaning of life. At that time he came in touch with other travellers and got inspired to also take the journey despite his fears. With just a little bit of money in his pocket he managed to wander around the world by using alternative ways of travelling; such as hitchhiking, couchsurfing, working/volunteering, and this lead him to meet the most amazing people on the way. With his story Tomislav shows that even with a lack of money, there are still a lot of options to travel the world. His journey gave him meaning again and gifted him with beautiful lessons. He wanted to share his story and after his journey he published a book ”100 Days of Spring” and goes around giving lectures about what it means to live on the road. Watch his amazing TEDx talk to hear Tomislav’s story and get inspired!

In twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”
