Meet the Ice Man: The Wim Hof Method

Have you already heard about Wim Hof? Also known as the Iceman. This man educated himself from a young age about Buddhism, Hinduism and Ancient cultures. Inspired by this knowledge and the death of his wife he created his own meditation method that made him resist extreme cold temperatures and became a superhuman! He climbs mountains in his underwear and has broken world records! Above all his method is even acknowledged by science for its power to influence the immune system and might be helpful for people with illnesses. Atiloveyou500 we we were really curious about Wim Hof and wanted to know more about him and his method.

According to Wim Hof people have forgotten about their inner power that lies in all human beings. We have the power to control our physiological mechanisms to adapt and survive within our natural environment. By wearing clothes and regulating the temperature at home and work we have changed the stimulation on our body, thus the old mechanisms related to survive and function. As these deeper physiological layers are not stimulated anymore we have become alienated from them, thus our bodies have weakened and we are no longer in touch with this inner power. The inner power is a force accumulated by full awakened physiological processes. It also influences the very core of our DNA, says Wim Hof. With his method we can learn to burn fat, boost our immune system, improve sleep quality, increase hormone levels, reduce inflammation and increase the ”feel good” chemicals in the brain called endorphins.

How does it works? The majority of the people breath really shallow resulting in low energy levels and ill health. With his breathing techniques you practice to inhale deeply and repeat this for thirty times in three rounds or more. This creates an excess of oxygen which creates a natural high by releasing different neurotransmitters in your brains. By practicing these breath techniques and by repetition you will significantly improve your energy levels, detox the body and release toxins, relieve stress and tension, and strengthen your immune system. Watch the video below to learn more about how to perform this amazing practice. I have tried it myself and I am practicing it now for a couple of days and it’s definitely worth the try!
